KEPALA BATAS: The widow of slain policeman Kpl Zal-Azri Abd Somad, Atiqah Mohd Rosdi, 29, was full of gratitude when senior officials from Tabung Haji visited her at her home here.
Tabung Haji chairman Datuk Haji Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim chatted with Atiqa and her two children Mohamad Habibullah, four, and five-month-old Mohamad Atiqullah in their house.
He also presented the two children with Tabung Haji account books with a deposit of RM5,000 each.
“This is the least we can do to help the children of the late Kpl Zal-Azri. He was a true hero who gave up his life for the nation,” he said yesterday.
Atiqa said she was very thankful and grateful to have received the aid.
“I will save this money for my children’s welfare,” she said.
Kpl Zal-Azri Abd Somad was bludgeoned to death by a suspected thief in Taman Teknologi Cheng, Malacca, last month.
