KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Hajah Haminah performed Aidiladha prayers at the National Mosque here Tuesday.
Their Majesties arrived at the mosque at 8.20am and performed the prayers with a congregation of about 15,000 Muslims.
The worshippers recited the takbir (glorification of Allah) and performed the Aidiladha prayers led by the Grand Imam of the National Mosque, Tan Sri Syaikh Ismail Muhammad.
Their Majesties also exchanged greetings with the congregation after the conclusion of the Aidiladha khutbah (sermon) delivered by Syaikh Ismail.
Meanwhile, in PUTRAJAYA, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin performed Aidiladha prayers at the Putra Mosque.
Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his wife Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali also performed the prayers there.
A congregation of more than 5,000 Muslims performed Aidiladha prayers at the mosque, led by the Grand Imam of the Putra Mosque, Abdul Manaf Mat. - Bernama
