KOTA KINABALU: A special extraordinary general meeting of the Liberal Democratic Party saw over 60% of the party’s 761 delegates endorsing the faction of sacked deputy president Senator Datuk Chin Su Phin to lead the party.
The 468 delegates, who turned up for the EGM yesterday, also endorsed the removal of embattled party president Datuk V.K. Liew who sacked Chin and nearly 27 of the 35 supreme council members in a series of moves since late August to stave off any challenge to his leadership.
