KOTA KINABALU: A Filipino prisoner, currently serving jail term for encroaching on state forest reserve, is now being investigated for possible links to the Sulu terrorist group involved in the intrusion in Lahad Datu last February.
The 43-year-old man was sentenced to 18-months’ jail on Sept 9 for encroaching into a forest reserve in Sabah’s east coast Lahad Datu district.
