KUALA LUMPUR: The proposed amendments to the Legal Profession Act 2012 was passed in Parliament on Tuesday to allow foreign lawyers to practice in Peninsular Malaysia.
Authorised foreign lawyers will be permitted to provide advice and consultation on legal matters relating to international laws, but will still be subject to all rules and regulations of the Bar Council and its disciplinary board.
