Cops open fire after gang members attack police car, court hears

Recalling the ordeal, ASP Jaswent said four unmarked police cars had earlier followed a convoy of cars, believed to be members of a 'Gang KT', after he received a tip off from his source that a gang fight was about to take place in Ampang.

It was said that a 'Gang Negro' had attacked three members of Gang KT and that the latter was retaliating.

The convoy went towards the direction of Jalan Bukit Belacan and made several turns. At the junction entering Flat Seri Bayu, one of the cars made a U-turn.

“We didn’t follow the first car, a red Hyundai Sonata, that made the U-turn. We followed the rest of the convoy.
