Umno polls: Selangor Umno division chiefs submit nomination forms



SHAH ALAM: As of 12pm, 44 candidates have submitted their forms to contest as division chiefs in 22 divisions in Selangor.

State Umno election chairman Tan Sri Abu Hassan Omar said more are expected to submit their forms before 5pm Saturday.

"We have received 2,500 nomination forms for all positions in the state party's divisions and wings," he told reporters at the Selangor Umno headquarters.

While the nomination process is scheduled to end at 5pm, Abu Hassan said he expects to receive about 6,000 nomination forms in total by then.

Another press conference is scheduled to take place at 6pm while the results, Abu Hassan said, are expected to be made known on Tuesday.
