PETALING JAYA: The five-year-old girl who died in her parents’ multiple suicide attempt was believed to have been dead for four days before she was found, but charcoal absorbed the stench of her decomposing body.
The family had attempted suicide by burning charcoal in the master bedroom on two separate occasions. The young girl was killed in the second attempt.
Sources revealed that police found a large supply of charcoal in the family’s Sri Manja Court home.
Electrical wires allegedly used by the family in a failed attempt to hang themselves were also found in the house.
Family members have been contacted to claim her body at University Malaya Medical Centre mortuary.
