PUTRAJAYA: Fines issued by the Automated Enforcement System (AES) will start at RM150 effective immediately, said acting Transport Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein.
He the rate would gradually increase to the maximum of RM 300.
"It's similar to the method used by the police.
"The longer one delays in paying, the more one has to pay," he told newsmen here on Wednesday.
As for summonses already issued, Hishammuddin said more discussions on the matter were needed.
"Legal action against offenders is still being withheld," he said.
