MECCA: The Saudi Arabian government wants Islamic countries to emulate Malaysia in its management of haj pilgrims.
Saudi Deputy Haj Minister Hatem Qadhi conveyed this to Malaysia’s haj delegation head Datuk Syed Saleh Syed Abdul Rahman here yesterday.
Earlier, he and Hatem, accompanied by South-East Asian Muassasah chairman Tan Sri Sheikh Zuhair Abdul Hamid, welcomed the arrival of the first batch of Malaysian haj pilgrims here.
The group of 862 was in Medinah for eight days before arriving here. — Bernama
