KUALA LUMPUR: A 91-year-old former La Salle Sentul Secondary school teacher will be gracing its old boys association anniversary dinner on Sept 21.
La Salle Sentul Old Boys Association president Magandran Muthiah said it had located Yvonne Holmes, who used to teach English for 19 years between 1961 and 1982, living in Perth, Australia.
“We are making arrangements for her to attend the dinner. We are also looking for the oldest living student of the school,” he said.
Magandran said an essay-writing contest in honour of Holmes would also be launched for the current students during the dinner, which was being held to celebrate the school’s 63rd anniversary.
He said former principal Ambrose Loke, who is the association’s adviser, was among the 200 people who had confirmed their participation in the event.
