PETALING JAYA: The Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor (KLSCCCI) will be celebrating its 109th anniversary next month with promoting national unity as part of its agenda.
“We will put more focus on promoting a multi-racial society,” said KLSCCCI president Datuk Ter Leong Yap.
Ter who is also the executive chairman of property outfit Sunsuria Development Sdn Bhd led a contingent of KLSCCCI members in a visit to Menara Star yesterday.
“Its nice to get to know the number one English newspaper in Malaysia. We hope we can work more closely in the future,” he said.
The board members were given a personal tour by Star Publications (M) Bhd acting CEO Datuk Seri Wong Chun Wai, accompanied by Deputy Group Chief Editor 1 June H.L. Wong. The tour included an explanation on how the news process works – with the highlights being a first hand look at operations on the editorial floors.
