KUANTAN: Two Pahang footballers were caught on suspicion of committing khalwat (close proximity) with two women in separate rooms at a hotel here.
All of them were caught by officers from the Pahang Islamic Religious Department (Jaip) at about 4.30am on Tuesday, said a source.
The officers were tipped off by a member of the public who suspected that the unmarried footballers had checked in to the hotel with two women in their 20s.
The source said the footballers and the women had been taken to the Jaip office for further investigation. — Bernama
