ALOR SETAR: A 47-year-old chef decided to share his Merdeka spirit by serving his specially-prepared Asam Pedas Merdeka for free to the public.
Dressed in a Jalur Gemilang-themed shirt, pants and hat, Shukri Ahmad served the sour and spicy concoction with rice, salted egg, sambal belacan and vegetables to passers-by at his stall at the Taman PKNK food court in Jalan Tun Razak here.
