PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Seri Najib Razak has told Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department P. Waythamoothy to toe the line as he is a member of the administration.
“As a member of the administration, we should be on the same wavelength, meaning our opinions must be in sync with that of others. That’s the principle,” he said after chairing the Bumiputera Agenda Action Council meeting here yesterday.
The Prime Minister was asked about a remark by Waythamoorthy over the deaths of five men believed to be gangsters in a shootout with police in Penang recently.
Waythamoorthy had on his Facebook page remarked that based on photographs at the shooting scene, he believed that the five were shot at close range, disputing the police version of events.
Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein and Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin criticised him and told him to quit.
