A 30-year-old woman died after a surgery in Trichy to remove a wad of cotton left in her abdomen from a botched hysterectomy six months earlier.
Makkal Osai reported that Toulath Parveen from Tamil Nadu had undergone the operation on Aug 21 but died four days later after her health deteriorated. Her sister Mehraj Kani said the mother-of-four and her husband Raja Mohammad, 38, had decided that she should have a hysterectomy on the advice of doctors.
