KLANG: In conjunction with the 144th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth, the Gandhi Memorial Trust (GMT) will be hosting a talk on ways to apply the teachings of the late Indian leader in this modern age.
According to GMT chairman S. Radhakrishnan, the event at the Royal Lake Club in Kuala Lumpur on Oct 2 is also to commemorate the International Day of Non-Violence.
Among the prominent speakers will be Prof Tommy Koh, an ambassador-at-large for Singa-pore, and Dr Syed Farid Alatas, a Malaysian who is the head of Malay Studies Department and Associate Professor of Sociology at the National University of Singapore.
