Man sues to compel police disclosure of probe result on wife's shooting death

SHAH ALAM: The husband of a woman who was shot dead last January has filed an originating summons to compel the police to disclose the investigation result on his wife's death.

Foo Voon Kong, 27, filed the originating summons through Messrs Ng & Yeong at the High Court registry here Monday.

It was reported that Foo's 22-year-old wife Pua Bee Chun was killed after police shot at a car driven by a man, believed to be her boyfriend, who was a crime suspect.

In the Jan 18 incident, police fired at the car after the driver allegedly tried to ram into policemen following a 10km car chase.

The man, who was unhurt, then surrendered and police discovered Pua at the front passenger seat with a gunshot wound.

Foo was present at the court with his two children Evelyn, four, and Charles, three.

He named the chief of Klang Selatan police station, the Inspector-General of Police and the Government as defendants in his summons.

He also sought for a court order for the defendants to provide ballistics and chemistry reports on the incident.
