Kelantan border secure, says Armed Forces commander

KOTA BHARU: The Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) has given its assurance that the 140km Malaysia-Thailand border in the state is secure. 

"We also lay ambush at night on several illegal points for smuggling activities. We have so far detected 150 illegal bases operating along the border," he told a press conference at his office on Wednesday.

Mohd Zaki said cooperation with other security agencies such as the police, Customs and Immigration departments under the National Blue Ocean Strategy (NBOS) had reduced crime rates at the border.
