Three friends drown as car plunges into river in Malacca

MALACCA: A night out turned tragic for four friends when the car they were travelling in plunged into a river at Jalan Ayer Keroh Lama.

Chong Jun Wei, 19, Wong Wei Hao, 22, and Ng Kee Kang, 19, drowned in the 3.30am incident yesterday, while Liew Yu Yang, 20, escaped with mild injuries by climbing out of the submerged Proton Saga before seeking help from a passing motorcyclist.
