KUALA LUMPUR: Police have several leads in connection with the shooting of MyWatch chairman R Sri Sanjeevan in Bahau, Negri Sembilan, said Bukit Aman's CID director Datuk Hadi Ho Abdullah.

He said the information could lead police to the man suspected of shooting Sanjeevan at a traffic light junction in Taman Cempaka on July 27.

He said police have also interviewed Sanjeevan's friend who was in the car when a pillion rider opened fire hitting Sanjeevan in the rib cage.

"Police are waiting for the hospital's authorities to interview Sanjeevan. We believe we can gather more leads in order to solve the case," he told reporters on Monday.

Sanjeevan, 29, was shot once and the bullet pierced his rib cage. He is now warded at Hospital Serdang after being transferred from Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital in Seremban.

Police believed revenge could be a motive for the shooting.
