Rungkup election petition struck out

IPOH: The Election Court has struck out the election petition to declare the Rungkup state seat null and void.

Judge Datuk Umi Kalthum Abdul Majid also instructed the petitioner, Perak Pas deputy commissioner Mohd Misbahul Munir Masduki, to pay RM35,000 in costs to each of the two respondents - Barisan Nasional's Datuk Shahrul Zaman Yahya, who won the Rungkup state seat by 613 votes, and the Election Commission.
