PETALING JAYA: Malaysians in Egypt are safe despite deadly clashes between security forces and supporters of deposed president Mohamad Morsi on Saturday, which left dozens dead and hundreds of others injured.
“To date, all Malaysians in Egypt remain safe and they have been advised to adhere to the security guidelines issued by the Embassy of Malaysia in Cairo and the local authorities,” Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman said.
