Ex-deputy minister’s son fined RM40,000 for using forged papers to win government tender


KUALA LUMPUR: The son of a former deputy minister was fined RM40,000 by a Sessions Court here for using a forged document to win a government tender to build roads in Batu Pahat, Johor.

Judge Ahmad Zamzani Mohd Zain ordered Mohd Nizam Lajim, 31, son of former deputy Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Lajim Ukin, to pay the amount after the accused changed his plea to guilty.
