PETALING JAYA: Netizens unanimously agree that the maximum fine of RM200 for animal abusers as prescribed by Section 44(1)(d) Animals Act 1953 is not severe enough to prevent animal abuse in Malaysia.
@Ratussa_M said that “anybody can pay RM200,” and that it was definitely not enough to stop animal abuse cases.
