19 new Fellows elected to Academy of Sciences


Among the Fellows are rubber pioneer the late Tan Sri Dr B.C. Sekhar, socialist leader and family medicine expert the late Dr M.K. Rajakumar, former Veterinary Services Department director-general Tan Sri Dr Ahmad Mustaffa Babjee, zoologist Prof Emeritus Dr Yong Hoi Sen, Minds president Prof Emeritus Tan Sri Dr Augustine Ong and former FRIM director-general Tan Sri Dr Salleh Mohd Nor.

ASM was established under the Academy of Sciences Act 1994 and was officially inaugurated by then Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad on Sept 8 1995, who is also one of its six honorary fellows.
