KUALA LUMPUR: The Attorney-General’s Chambers has advised the Federal Territory Religious Department (Jawi) and Syarie chief prosecutor to withdraw the charge against Borders bookstore manager Nik Raina Nik Aziz in the Syariah Court.
The 37-year-old was charged on June 19 last year with distributing Canadian author Irshad Manji’s book Allah, Liberty and Love, which was deemed to be against Islamic Law (Hukum Syarak) and banned in Malaysia.
