RIF’AT Salam has been selling chicken in Abdeen market in Cairo for 10 years but business has been bad since the 2011 revolution which brought down former president Hosni Mubarak.
“People don’t have money to spend any more. Chicken costs 20 Egyptian pounds (RM9.50) per kilo these days. Before the revolution, it was 10 Egyptian pounds to 12 Egyptian pounds (RM4.50 to RM5.45) per kilo,” he said.
