PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia will send water-bombers to Sumatra to help put out peat fires once Indonesia agrees to it, said Natural Resources andEnvironment Minister Datuk Seri G. Palanivel.
"We will send them as fast as possible but Indonesia must first agree to it.
"This will be among the things that I will discuss with my counterpart (Indonesian Environment Minister Balthasar Kambuaya) tomorrow (Wednesday)," he told a press conference here on Tuesday.
Palanivel, who will be leaving for Indonesia on Wednesday, said he would also convey other offers, including technical help to put out the fires.
