PETALING JAYA: A total of 46 hot-spots in Sumatera, Indonesia is the reason for the return of the haze to the west coast of peninsula Malaysia with certain areas registering unhealthy levels.
Department of Environment's director-general Datuk Halimah Hassansaid the hot-spots were detected via satellite images from the ASEAN Specialised Metrological Centre as of June 14, with readings at 52 air quality stations done at 11am Saturday.
