IPOH: A Syariah Court assistant in Parit Buntar has been jailed for two years and fined RM20,000 over a RM1,000 bribe.
Mohd Shahrin Ahmad, 29, was found guilty of asking for the sum from a woman at 3.20pm on Oct 8, 2010, to settle the case of her daughter who gave birth out of wedlock.
