Engage public to boost confidence, Chua urges cops

PETALING JAYA: The police should step up efforts in combating crime as people still perceived the crime rate as increasing, said MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek.

“Police omnipresence in crime hotspots is one of the key and most effective measures in crime fighting, as it will serve as a deterrent to criminals and also an effort to regain public confidence,” he said in a statement yesterday.
