Contract civil servants eligible for Socso


KUALA LUMPUR: Civil servants employed on a temporary or contract basis and earning RM3,000 or less per month are eligible to contribute to Social Security Organisa­tion (Socso) from June 1.

Socso chief executive Datuk K. Selvarajah said those earning a monthly salary of more than RM3,000 could still contribute to the fund on condition that they and their employers agreed to be covered under the Socso scheme by submitting their option notice.
