KUALA LUMPUR: MIC president Datuk Seri G. Palanivel is expected to face a challenge for the top post, a first in the 20 years of the party’s history.
Bernama quoted an MIC veteran as saying that deputy president Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam was planning to mount a contest against Palanivel in the presidential election scheduled early next year.
