PETALING JAYA: For sales manager Ang Hong Keow, the decision to pull her son out of public school came when they noticed that English was not given an emphasis in the overall learning environment.

Ang said she and her husband are an English-speaking family and, as such, it was important that their son, Ryan Byrne, be schooled in the language.
