PETALING JAYA: Transparency International-Malaysia (TI-M) has expressed disappointment at the lack of commitment in addressing issues threatening indigenous people and tropical forests.
TI-M secretary-general Josie M. Fernandez noted countries with tropical forests such as Malaysia, Indonesia and Zambia are especially vulnerable to elements of corruption due to high levels of illegal logging, deforestation and encroachment.
