BESUT: The Terengganu government has declared polling day on May 5 a public holiday, joining Kelantan and Kedah which had announced this earlier.
Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said said the decision to grant the holiday was made at a special meeting recently.
"Sunday is a working day in Terengganu, and the declaration of the holiday will make it easier for public sector employees to go to the polls," he said after opening the BN operations room for the Jabi state constituency on Wednesday. - Bernama
