IPOH: A five-year-old child who was inside his parents' car when three men drove it away in Gopeng on Tuesday night was been found unharmed, said State police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Mohd Shukri Dahlan.
Mohd Shukri said the child was safely found with the car at the southbound Tapah R&R area on the North-South Expressway at 11pm Tuesday night.
Mohd Shukri the car was taken at about 9.30pm in front of a restaurant that belonged to the child's parents.
"The parents were busy closing the restaurant for the day and left the Toyota Vios car engine running.
"At about 10pm the mother realised that her son and the car was no longer there, lodging a police report immediately," he said in a press conference Wednesday.
"We are tracking down the three suspects and the case is being investigated under Section 363 of the Penal Code for abduction," he said.
