KUANTAN: PKR supreme council member Fariz Musa has been named the candidate to go up against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak for the Pekan parliamentary seat.
Announcing this at a press conference here last night, PKR leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim also named party elections secretariat chief Zakaria Abdul Hamid, 48, for the Bera parliamentary seat.
Anwar said he would abide by Pakatan Rakyat's spirit of cooperation to only announce the party's candidates for parliamentary seats.
“Candidates for the state seats will be announced later by the state or central leadership in the nearest time,” he said.
