PETALING JAYA: The self-styled Sulu Royal Army will maintain its position in Lahad Datu but is hopeful of a peaceful conclusion to the standoff.
Abraham Idjirani, spokesman for the Sultanate of Sulu who is also secretary-general of the Sultanate, said Sultan of Sulu Jamalul Kiram III still wanted to discuss the issue of their perceived territorial claim to Sabah.
