Maicci: World Bank rating shows Government on right track

KUALA LUMPUR: The high rating given by the World Bank on the country’s corporate governance shows that the Government’s economic programmes are bearing fruit and on the right path in driving the nation forward, said Malaysian Associated Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Maicci) president Datuk K.K. Eswaran.

“We should be proud of our country and the Prime Minister’s efforts. The Government’s initiatives have ensured that we are able to maintain our progress during testing times that have rocked many Asian and European countries into economic crisis, recession and government instability,” he said in a statement here yesterday.
