GEORGE TOWN: A huge billboard put up by a private company and several banners featuring politicians have given the Thaipusam celebrations here a political feel.
The billboard featuring Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng alongside the image of Lord Murugan at the Gottlieb Road-Jalan Kebun Bunga junction has become the talking point among some devotees and visitors as it further cements the description of Lim as a “tokong (deity)”.
