KOTA KINABALU: A Pakistani and two Indians told the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on Sabah’s immigrants how they entered the state as visitors but managed to obtain identity cards without any supporting documents.
Mohamed Hussein, who is from Pakistan, as well as Indian-born Aziz Kassim and Mohitin Batcha Sariff, obtained Malaysian identity cards between two and seven years after arriving in Sabah and had surrendered their foreign passports to officers who were purportedly from the National Registration Department.
