Mat Sabu: Rally will go on at Stadium Merdeka, not Bukit Jalil

KUALA LUMPUR: The Opposition-organised Himpunan Kebangkitan Rakyat rally will proceed as planned at Stadium Merdeka on Saturday, regardless of a suggestion that it be held at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium, PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu said Friday.

Mat Sabu, who is also rally organising chairman, told reporters that despite city police chief Datuk Mohmad Salleh advising them to hold it at the larger stadium in Bukit Jalil, the organisers had decided to stay at Stadium Merdeka as they had already received permission from the Dang Wangi police station.
