KUALA LUMPUR: A former lecturer was sentenced to two months’ prison and fined RM10,000 after he pleaded guilty to issuing a diploma to an absentee student.
Elmy Shadzly Wahi, 41, admitted to accepting a RM1,500 bribe from student Muhammad Asrul Aizat Solehan as an incentive to give him a culinary diploma from a college without having to attend lectures or sit for examinations.
