MALACCA: Veteran Tamil journalist N. Superamaniam, better know as N.S. Maniam, passed away here yesterday after a brief illness. He was 60.
Maniam, who was also an accomplished Malay poet and writer, was with the National Unity Department for 29 years but served as a stringer for various Tamil newspapers, including Malaysia Nanban, Tamil Nesan, Makkal Osai and Suara Melaka, the state's official organ.
