KUALA LUMPUR: The number of actual organ donations is only 2.6 percent of the number of patients requiring the life-saving donations.
Health Ministry Medical Development Division director Datuk Dr. Azmi Shapie said that since 1975, there have only been 387 donors who have donated their tissue or organs.
