Retiree paints his love for all things Johor

JOHOR BARU: For grandfather Zakariah Mohd Salleh, capturing Johor’s scenic view through art has been a lifelong passion and a way to promote the state’s beauty to tourists.

While most retirees would prefer the comfort of their home and the company of their grandchildren, Zakariah, 64, could be found sitting outside the Sultan Abu Bakar Mosque engrossed with painting the city’s landmarks and sceneries.
