GEORGE TOWN: A habitual offender has been sentenced to 10 years’ jail and 12 strokes of the rotan by the Sessions Court here for robbing a mother and daughter of their jewellery worth RM40,000.
Unemployed A. Sitravellu, 46, who has 11 convictions for stealing, assault and drug-related offences between 1984 and 2003, pleaded guilty to both charges.
