PUTRAJAYA: Peak water demand had at one point exceeded the production capacity of Selangor’s water treatment facilities, said the Energy, Green Technology and Water Ministry.
A total of 4,420 million litres of water were churned out for consumption last Saturday, nearly 50 million litres more than the 4,371 million litres per day (MLD) total capacity of the 34 water treatment plants serving Selangor, the ministry said yesterday.
